With environmentally friendly features and high performance, entertainment website BSCReview.com recently applauded Casio's Green Slim Projector.
BSC reviewer B.T. Robertson praised Casio for taking an "eco-friendly step forward," by using a solid-state laser and LED hybrid light source rather than a mercury lamp. The projector's light boasts between 2,000 and 2,500 lumens and can last up to 20,000 hours. This makes it the brightest mercury-free projector on the market, according to Robinson.
Robertson said he tested Casio’s XJ-A230 mercury-free projector over a two-month period by playing Resident Evil 5, Uncharted 2 and Gran Turismo Prologue. He projected the video onto a white wall rather than a projection screen, but stated the quality was "phenomenal" nonetheless.
"If you're looking for an amazing projector that won't chew up your electric bill and cost an arm and a leg, look no further," Robertson wrote. "The Green Slim is your device."
The Green Slim projector is available in 12 models. In addition to gaming, its portability and eco-friendly features make it a potentially attractive addition in the classroom and corporate conference rooms.
